Hi Carol,
I agree it is really tough to break into the CRA role from the CRC side. I will say that being a CRC will make you a far better CRA someday. As a suggestion, you may want to try breaking into the Pharma side through applying for remote CTC positions. Once in a company, you will be able to demonstrate your abilities and it should be easier to transition to the CRA role. Good luck!]]></description>

Carol, I love your question! I do find that many companies require more information than needed at the application stage....and it opens up the company for Age Discrimination if a qualified candidate doesn&#039;t feel they were given the same opportunity because of dates.  

And I agree....while GPAs are important when someone has little or no work experience, I don&#039;t see the relevancy once you do have some experience under your belt.  

For now, I would chalk up the experience to the company using an outdated application system. Look for trends. If you start seeing other things that may be questionable, then you may decide this company isn&#039;t a fit for you.
