An important step when writing your cover letter is to make sure you mention the name of the organization and the job that you are applying for. This is where you can show that you have done your research on the company. While using the same format and general information that you have used in your resume, you next want to make the connection to your skills, experience, and interests that are relevant to the position you are applying for. Also be sure to thank them in advance for their consideration of you for the position.
