Here is a tip. In your phone interview, obviously you will need to be aware of the company’s product portfolio. But a surprise question might come your way. They might ask, “Are you following this company?” This refers to pushing a button on LINKEDIN that provides automatic “following.” There is only one way to answer this question. You need to answer, “yes.” Otherwise, the interviewer with think that you are behind the times. My recommendation is as follows. Whenever you apply to a company, you should consider (at the same time) punching the follow button on LINKEDIN. That way, you will be prepared for this question.
