Good timely blog. I have been searching for a CRA position for a little over a month now and was starting to wonder if I need may to add an employment gap explanation soon. This blog provided some useful insight.
I absolutely understand. Several larger organizations (like Boehringer) have shifted gears in their hiring methodologies and that has caused several excellent CRAs to be without a position. Couple that with the current industry lull, gaps are inevitable.
An agency with a solid network within clinical research will understand those gaps (and the trends that led up to them). So just be transparent and there shouldn’t be a problem.
I really appreciate your post!
